Eric Marczak, not your everyday Luthier …

Eric Marczak is a retired Maspectrometry Analyst (think CSI !!) for the NYS Dept. of Health and a Vietnam veteran …

A member of the Northeastern Woodworkers Association, Eric has been building wood furniture as art for 40 years and travels to local and distant craft fairs with his work.  His background includes teaching woodworking as an adjunct Professor at Hudson Valley, at the Art Center in Troy, NY and at Woodcraft in Latham, NY.

Eric has been designing and producing fine, hand-made musical instruments for over 20 years and turned his craft and talents to focus full time on guitar repair and building in 2003.  His talents have drawn the attention and endorsement of classical guitarist Harry George Pellegrin and flamenco player Nelson Ferrer III, among many others.

His attention to detail can be seen on the unique rosettes of his classical guitars, his reproduction of a Stradivarius 10 course guitar, and carries through all the instruments he builds.

Eric is a member of the Guild of American Luthiers.
