All single coil pickup bobbins and all pickups are individually made and wound by hand.  All pickups are wax-potted to be free of microphonics.  Non-potted pickups are available at customer request.  Single coils use cloth pushback and humbuckers use single conductor braided shield wire.  Four conductor wiring is available on humbuckers and tapped options are available on single coils for a nominal charge.  These are the standard models, but true, custom-wound pickups are always available.  Contact us with any questions you may have!! 

         Humbucker       'S' Series           'T' Series

HUMBUCKER

Old School Humbucker -50's humbucker tone.  Bridge pickups are wound with a few more turns to balance better with the neck.  Rich, warm, sweet tone with great clarity.

Blues Humbucker -Overwound 50's tone with one coil wound hotter than the other.  Extra power with more growl and bite.  Cleaner bottom than most overwound neck pickups with a vocal qualtiy that sings beautifully.  The bridge is wound hotter to push a vintage style amp a little more, the mismatch in the coils gives this pickup a 'T' quality but with more thickness.

Hot Humbucker -High output crunchy pickup with great harmonics and a tight bottom end.  This is a great rock pickup that cleans up nicely when it has to, but it really loves to rock.

All humbuckers are available in black, zebra (black on screw pole bobbin) or reverse zebra (cream on screw pole bobbin).

'S' SERIES

Old School 'S' - Bright, chimey classic tone.  This pickup has the beautiful clean tones that people lust after and great quack in the notch positions. 

Blues 'S' - Bigger, meatier tone with less chime and more power.  Good for warming up a bright guitar. 

Hot 'S' - More output and mids with less top-end bite.  Great overdriven tone.

'T' SERIES

Old School 'T' -Vintage scatter wound, flat pole articulation and twang with a little growl and extra sustain.  Neck is full-sounding with great depth.

Blues 'T' - Fatter, warmer tone with more mids and smoother top-end.  The extra mids and windings help to push the amp a little harder, but the clean sound is still very sweet.  Very balanced set that can cover many styles.

Hot 'T' - Higher output, more bass and mids with less twang.  A rounder, thicker tone with less bite but more bark.  Very punchy and wound to cut through a dense mix with the output to push an amp into singing overdrive.
